The St. Paul Extension
The St. Paul, or the M&N extension from Channing, on its Republic line to Sidnaw, where its Ontonagon division strikes the South shore is completed and last week a party of St. paul and M&N officials went over it. They did not run into Ontonagon, stopping at Sidnaw. The Ontonagon Herald staes that no regular passenger service will be commenced on the new line until next spring, probably in May, a fact which causes considerable disappointment, as Ontonagon people had expected taht the moment the connection was completed it would become the main line of the M&N, the Republic line becoming a one-horse branch. On the first of the new year two mixed trains will be put on, however, one leaving Ontonagon in the morning and the other in the evening, both connecting at Channing with south-bound trains.
