Accident Report
An accident occured upon the Duluth South Shore and Atlantic Railway at Dollarville Station, on the 16th days of September 1887, at 215 o'clock a. m. caused by:
Freight train westbound coming into collision with rear portion of another westbound freight train at Dollarville station. Night was foggy; forward train sent brakeman with lamp back to signal coming train; it was almost stopped but being on a down grade and cars loaded, they pushed engine forward into rear of preceding tain. No person was injured, nor track displaced. Caboose and 5 ore cars were thrown from track.
