The engineer of an eastbound train on the South Shore, while approaching Nestoria in the gray light of the morning, saw a curious object on the track. He thought it was a cow, and ran into it before discovering his mistake. As he checked his engine a homesteader arose from the ditch and made theological remarks. The homesteader had been riding on a curious railway tricycle of his own construction and had fallen asleep. The homesteader was not particularly damaged and was left at Nestoria. The remains of the machine were taken to Marquette for inspection by the railway officials.
