The L'Anse Wreck
The bridge over the Falls river was replaced so that passenger train could pass over at noon Wednesday and at 8 o'clock Wednesday night it had been strengthened so that the first freight train could pass, marking the resumption of freight traffic on the HOughton division. Wednesday the debris constituting the remains of the caboose and four box cars were gathered together and burned. The engine, No. 200 is on the track again and is not badly damaged, but the 13 flat cars are done for. The disabled rolling stock will probably come down to the shops Sunday, the fact that the wrecking operations can be carried on only at night causing the delay.
