L'Anse News Notes
L'Anse - C. M. Crawford, a contractor on the DSS&A, now a few miles back of Nestoria, came to town on the passenger train yesterday afternoon seeking sheriff Shields and his posse, whose services were required on the line of construction caused by a strike among some of the of the Italian workmen in camp No. 2.
The merchandise dock has been newly planked, which, with the other extensive repairs make the dock A1. The DSS&A will probably make this one of their receiving points for rails for the new road. The ore dock has also received extensive repairs under the direction of Joe County and the dock is in good condition for shipping.
