Frank Thomson returned yesterday from a week's visit in Chicago.
Julien M. Case returned yesterday from Lansing and Milwaukee.
E.W. Allen, of the D.,S.S.&A., left yesterday for Chicago on business.
Arthur Hill, the great Saginaw lumberman, is a guest at the Hotel Marquette.
Capt. R.H. [*] Williams, of L'Anse, came down to Marquette yesterday on business.
Louis A. Hall, of Hall & Buell, the great lumber firm, arrived in the city yesterday from Bay Mills.
Messrs. Blanchard and Gooding, the government vessel inspectors, returned from Sault Ste. Marie yesterday.
William Orr, general freight agent, and S.B. Floeter, train master, of the D., S.S.&A., visited the mines about Michigamme yesterday.
G. Chase Godwin, of Grand Rapids, United States district attorney, arrived in the city yesterday and is a guest at the Hotel Marquette.
George H. Persons, of the Lake Angeline Mine, and J.K. Persons, his brother, the Red Jacket lumber dealer, are guests at the Marquette.
James R. Dee, of Houghton, passed through the city yesterday on a flying trip to Grand Rapids. He will pass part of this week in Marquette.
