Saturday
The South Shore has filed a map, which has been examined and
approved for a line between the Gogebie range and L'Anse.
W. J. Spicer, heretofore general manager so called of the
Trand [* Grand] Trunk system West of Detroit and Port Huron, resigned
that position to take effect December 31, and will become general manager of the DSS&A, January 1.
Later: He won't.
Mr. Spicer concluded that his old place on the Grand Trunk
was better than the new one offered him by the South Shore,
and will stay with it.
O'Reilly & Co., have completed their work on the Summit
division of the South Shore. Mr. O'Reilly says it was the
toughest bit of railroad construction he ever encountered,
but it is done.
