Want $10,000 Damages
It is said that friends of August Swanberg have commenced suit against Mr. Peterson, a saloonist of this city, for selling liquor to deceased. Swanberg was killed by an engine on the DSS&A last week, though how it overtook him is a mystery that may come out in the trial. He was a deaf mute who was in the habit of getting in a beastly state of intoxication and to whom it was argued the saloon men were instructed to refuse liquor. The case will come up at the next term of the circuit court. Damages in the sum of $10,000 are claimed.
