M.& N. Extension to Ontonagon
McIntosh Bros., have taken a contract from the Milwaukee & Northern Ry., Co., to build 36 miles of railroad from the present terminus of the Ontonagon & Brule railway in Ontonagon County to a junction with the DSS&A Ry. The work has long been contemplated and negotiations have been going on for the right of way for some months. Work will begin in February and the people of Ontonagon county are now assured of a rail outlet. The bridge work will probably be done by A.F. McGills, lately of this city, but now a resident of Menominee.
