The through train on the DSS&A began running Sunday last, arriving about three house [*hours] late at this point, and has been late every day since. There is something wonderfully lamentable inthe way this road does business. To make time seems to be an utter impossiblility with it, and the time is slow enough, something like 15 miles an hour, that is their actual running time. It is altogether too tedious for this age and country. It takes two hours to run from Marquette to Champion, a distance that might easily be made in one. The passenger traffic is a good one, the fare is high enough and the people deserve a better service. We don't expect they will get it, but the state of things can be commented upon at any rate.
