The Excursion
Ishpeming - 825 tickets, good for a trip from Ishpeming to Houghton and return, are all ready in possession of the AOUW committee, and members can now secure tickets for the excursion to be given on the 28th inst. If any tickets remain unsold they will be placed on sale for the general public on July 23, and can be found after that date, at the stores of John B. Tibor, August W. Lindholm and Herman A. Jaedecke. A limited number of tickets will be sold and every person who buys a ticket will obtain a seat. The price of tickets for the full trip will be $1.75 and those buying them will be given their choice of returning from Houghton on the excursion train or staying over and returning to Ishpeming on the regular passenger train which will leave Houghton at four o'clock on Sunday afternoon.
All the other lodges of the AOUW in the upper peninsula - and their name is legion - has [*have] promised to send large delegations, and there will certainly be the largest number of Workmen in Houghton on July 28 and 29 that has ever been gathered together at on [*one] place in Mi.
