Through Service at Last
For years the people of Marquette and of the towns of the Mackinaw division of the DSS&A have longed for the time when the railway mail service shall be established on that division of the road. Some time ago the superintendent of this division of the Railway Mail Service visited Marquette and announced before he departed, that he had decided to commence the service there at once but as the weeks went by the desired convenience seemed to be as remote as ever. The new and elegant mail cars of the South Shore went into service Monday. By the new arrangement additional mail clerks will be needed on this run, and their appointment has all ready been decided on. Mr. O'Leary, for some time a clerk in the Hancock postoffice, will be one of the new ones and Peter O'Donnel of this city has been recommended for this appointment.
