D. M. Philbin passed north last Wednesday morning, having tarried here over night to greet old friends, to take charge of the docks of the South Shore, all of them, and the business transacted thereon, a position for which he is eminently fitted both by nature and by experience acquired in a similar position here. We don't know hte title nor the pay but as he left a good superintendency in Nebraska to take it, both are no doubt satisfactory.
