The sidewalk leading to the depot should be repaired and widened.
Station Agent Kee informs us that there has been a large increase in the freight business at this place recently.
Every summer the question as to the possibility of a new depot for Newberry is discussed by our citizens and each sees the apology for one doing business at the old stand. The necessity of such a new structure, the business done at this place by the railroad being largely in excess of that transacted by towns provided with much better and more commodious stations houses. We have every reason to believe, however, that this season will see the erection of a depot at the foot of Newberry av., where it rightly belongs, that will afford ample accomodations for all that will be required of it.
