From Mr. Strong, manager of the wood department of the Peninsular Land Co., we learn that he is about to build a spur to the narrow gauge railway, tapping the main line near Helen street, crossing and running down near and parallel with the DSS&A for distance of several rods. Skidways will be built between the two roads for the accomodation of logs that will be brought down on the short line from whence they will be loaded on cars and taken to the mill at Dollarville.
The comapny (PL Co.) is laying a narrow gauge yard from its east yard to the planing mill. J. W. Bird is supervising its construction.
