Transcript	Source: The Mining Journal Marquette, Mi. March 1, 1890 Saturday To the Common Council of the City of Marquette The Dead River RR. Co., in constructing its line of road from the DSS&A to the mouth of the Dead River, will have occasion to cross Washington street, also a highway lying a short distance north of Washington street on the NE 1/4 of the NE 1/4 of section 15, being the boundry [boundary] of said company respectfully asks your honorable body to grant the right to construct such railroad crossing upon such terms and conditions as shall be proper. Annexted [annexed] hereto is a diagram showing the line of road and points of the crossing with a draft of ordinance as will answer the purposes of the railroad company.
