Change in South Shore Staff.
Mr. George W. Hibbard, general western passenger agent of the South Shore,with headquarters at St.Paul, yesterday resigned that position to become general freight and passenger agent of the Pacific Short Line. This is a new road running westward through northern Nebraska from Sioux City, Iowa. The first division, 126 miles, to O'Neil, Neb.,will be opened for trafficabout July 1st. The road is understood to be backed by powerful New York capitalists and its reported intention is to build as far west as Ogden and possibly through to the Pacific. Mr. Hibbard will assume his new position on May 1st and proceed to organize the road. His successor with the South Shore has not yet been announced.
