On this 17th day of July, A. D., 1890, before the undersigned a Commissioner for the state of Mi., in said state of New York, personally came George H. Church, the President and Stillman Gray, the Secretary of the Negaunee and Palmer Railway, to me personally known to be such President and Secretary and to bethe persons who executed the forgoing *[foregoing] instrument on behalf of said company as the President and Secretary thereof respectively and whose names are thereunto subscribed as such officers; and they severally duly acknowledged the same to be their free act and deed as said President and Secretary and the free and voluntary act and deed of the said Negaunee and Palmer Railway for the uses and purposes therein expressed; and the said George H. Church and Stillman Gray being by me first duly sworn did depose and say that they are respectively the Presi
