A Slight Derailment
The westbound freight train , due here at 5:08 pm in the
afternoon was derailed just east of the Carp hill, Tuesday.
The accident was caused by a defective truck on one of the
box cars turning around on the rails, which caused four cars
to leave the track. Luckily the train was going slowly at the
time or a bad wreck might have happened. It took over
three hours to clear the track and the east bound
passenger train was delayed here until 8:30 in the
evening.
