Mr. Sanford Keeler, superintendent of the Flint & Pere Marquette RR., has accepted the position of superintendent of construction of the IR&HB RR., or the "Turner road" as it is commonly known on the peninsula. The Sunday Times of this city announced that Mr. Keeler was succeed Mr. Fitch as general manager of the South Shore and in its guess work got badly left. Mr. C. H. buhl, of Detroit, who is largely interested in the construction of the new road, is the Mining Journal's authority in the announcement of Mr. Keeler's appointment. The new superintendent is now in New York City but is soon expected here.
